Salvage Reclaimed Furniture is a not-for-profit social enterprise, dedicated to providing high quality, gently used furniture and household items to greater Edmonton area. Salvage is part of a group of services which have been strategically developed to alleviate poverty, generate employment and re-invest in the community.
“Responding to community and social challenges with sustainable economic opportunities.”
Salvage operates out of a large 4000 sq/ft retail space located in the west end of Edmonton. Our bright and open space offers a fresh spin on the traditional “used furniture” shopping experience. Each item in our showroom has been generously donated through members of the community, and to be re-sold at affordable prices back into the community. 100% of the proceeds are re-invested into the community and support the programs and services offered through Redemptive Developments and the Jasper Place Wellness Centre.
Salvage Reclaimed Furniture is opened to the public 5 days a week, and encourages you to sit, try and imagine items in your own home. The prices at Salvage will cater to all audiences, from those with a tight budget to new home owners, students to antique collectors. Each item is professionally steam cleaned, vacuumed and meticulously inspected. Salvage accepts all major payment methods, cash, credit and debit. We will also hold your purchased items for up to 3 days while you arrange transportation.
Can’t carry your item home? No problem! Don’t drive? We can still get your items to you!
Salvage offers affordable delivery within Edmonton! Call today for our delivery pricing.
Salvage is operated strictly upon donated items, which are then sold into the community at affordable prices. All items that are donated directly impact people in the community and support non-profit programs which are offered free of charge.
Salvage offers free donation pick-ups, making donating as simple as possible. Items are also accepted by dropping off at our building on Saturdays only.
Simply fill out our Donation Request Form below or call us, and we will do our best to arrange a donation pick-up free of charge in the greater Edmonton area.
Unfortunately, because each donated item will be sold, we are unable to accept any items which are ripped, torn, burned, stained, overly worn, damaged or in need of repair. If you are unsure if your items will meet our requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
If your items aren’t able to be accepted as a donation, we are still able assist you with removal and disposal. This service however, is offered at a fee based on the volume of contents. Often, if you have a mixed load of donations and junk, we are able to offer you an efficient and cost effective solution in a single visit.

What We Can’t Accept
Used Bedding Materials
In 2017, Salvage Reclaimed Furniture began to distribute gently used mattresses to many of Edmonton’s non-profit and charity organizations, as part of a larger effort to provide access to affordable bedding to those living in poverty. Together with Evergreen Recycling, Salvage strives to reuse and recycle all mattresses received from local retailers Sleep Country and The Brick. When you purchase a new mattress item from these retailers, they can remove your old one and those mattresses have a chance at finding a new home. These mattress items are then delivered to Evergreen Recycling where their staff sort and inspect each item individually. The mattress items which are identified as reusable are then loaded into our truck, inspected once again and then transferred over to Salvage’s warehouse. Once each mattress arrives at Salvage, they are yet again inspected for quality and cleanliness and then are distributed through our Charity Mattress Donation Program or cleaned and available in our showroom.
We are very happy to be involved in such an amazing program that assists lower income individuals and families in accessing free/affordable mattresses.
